From the time of our founding, Alpha Delta Pi has believed in the importance of giving back to our community. A dedication to philanthropy guides our members to spend time in the service of those who need it most. Our international organization’s commitment to Ronald McDonald House Charities has led to the donation of over $15,000,000 over the course of our partnership. More than 350 Ronald McDonald Houses in 64 countries help keep families with seriously ill or injured children together when they need it most by offering them a comfortable, temporary residence in proximity to a medical facility.

Throughout the years, our sisters have given back to the Ronald McDonald House of Charities in Las Vegas, Nevada in various ways. RMHC is a "home-away-from-home" for families and children who are receiving inpatient or outpatient medical treatment at local hospitals. With the help of the house and our efforts to support them, we are helping lessen the burden of resources and financial stress. Through our biggest, annual philanthropic event, Diamond Games, many greek organizations on UNLV's campus compete to see who can raise the most money, pop tabs, and donations. Not only does this event support the house, but it's also a great way to connect with other organizations and get them involved.

We also support RMHC through a multitude of events. One of our favorite ways to support is by cooking breakfasts and dinners, for the families and children residing in the house, once a month throughout each semester. We also participate in events that our local RMHC house puts on, like their Trunk-or-Treat, Run for Ronald 5k and Fun Walk, and annual food drive. Trunk-or-Treat is a fun way for the kids with critical ill conditions to celebrate Halloween, while remaining close to the house. The annual Run for Ronald 5k and Fun Walk, is one of the largest fundraising events that aims to promote the charity and shows the communities support for the families. Lastly, the annual food drive enables us to fill the house's pantry, as all the groceries in the house are donated. During this event, we're able to see the community come together for a great cause.

A Message from our Philanthropy Chair

Philanthropy means a lot to us here at Epsilon Rho. Every year we dedicate countless hours to giving back to our community and most specifically to the Ronald McDonald House of Charities. Alpha Delta Pi has been partnering with RMHC nationally since it’s first doors opened in 1979, and here locally since 1998.

RMHC offers temporary housing, food, and treatment for families traveling to Las Vegas for the critical medical care of their children. Since opening, RMHC of Greater Las Vegas has provided over 4,600 families with over 56,000 nights of care. The women of Alpha Delta Pi continue to support the house the way the house supports families.

Every year, we volunteer many hours at the house, cooking meals for the families and creating bonds that will last a lifetime. Diamond Games is our major philanthropy event that invites other UNLV organizations to participate in different events in efforts to raise awareness and raise money for RMH. Lionshare is our Alumni and family dedicated philanthropy event that includes raising funds through auctions.

Love & Loyally,

Ashlen Ramit - Director of Philanthropy
